Job Description

Position Summary:
The People Operations Specialist, reporting directly to the Sr. Manager of People Operations, is responsible for accurate and timely assistance in the day-to-day activities of People Operations and is the primary support for Talent Acquisition. The incumbent participates in related special projects, initiatives, and events including but not limited to: communication, employee engagement and Public Affairs events, and back up support for benefits, HRIS, and other HR operational items.
Essential Functions:
Works directly with the Sr. Manager, People Operations to coordinate the day-to-day operational activities of the department consistent with best practices and company culture. Coordinates directly with employees and external immigration counsel with all documentation and administrative activities related to U.S. work visa sponsorship as required. Ensures accuracy and timeliness of all associated documents. Coordinates with employees and managers regarding travel/business visas to/from the U.S. as required. Coordinates onboarding and off-boarding activities for new and exiting employees. Assists the Sr. POPs Manager in the development, implementation, and maintenance of various HR processes and procedures. Prepares clear, concise communications for company-wide distribution such as new hire announcements, company events, and other related communications. Assists in compiling and analyzing departmental data as a means to gain insights and recommended solutions for various HR operational challenges. Provides basic guidance for employees as appropriate on HR processes and procedures. Maintains accuracy in employee records.
Education, Training, and Experience:
Two to three years of high-level administrative experience for Human Resources. Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or other relevant discipline; or equivalent education, training, and experience required. Working knowledge of basic state and federal employment laws and regulations is required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with keen attention to detail. Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and at least one HRIS. Proven experience and ability to use AI tools to improve processes and efficiency. PHR certification is a plus.
Physical and Environmental Considerations:
Must be able to sit/stand for long periods of time. Required use of standard office equipment including laptop, phone, copier, etc. Typical office environment. Must be able to walk through the factory environment safely. Ability to travel as needed. The hiring range represents what Mevion Medical Systems, Inc. reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of posting. The actual salary offered will depend on the selected candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and other job-related factors.
