Intake Specialist & Scheduler Social Pediatric Therapy is a pediatric speech, occupational, and ABA therapy clinic in West Bloomfield, MI. We are seeking an organized and personable Intake Specialist & Scheduler to manage new patient intake, scheduling, insurance verification, and communication with families. Responsibilities Manage new patient inquiries and guide families through the intake process Collect patient, insurance, referral, and other required information Verify insurance eligibility and benefits Schedule evaluations and ongoing Speech, OT, and ABA appointments Coordinate provider schedules and maintain efficient patient scheduling Manage cancellations, rescheduling, and schedule changes Communicate with families regarding appointments, paperwork, insurance, and next steps Track referrals, evaluations, authorizations, waitlists, and patients preparing to begin services Maintain accurate patient information and documentation in the EMR/EHR system Communicate with insurance companies regarding coverage and authorization requirements Collaborate with therapists, BCBAs, billing staff, and management Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements Qualifications Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent verbal and written communication Professional and friendly phone presence Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple schedules and priorities Comfortable using computers, scheduling software, and EMR/EHR systems Ability to communicate professionally with families, providers, and insurance companies Dependable, proactive, and able to work independently Understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality Preferred Previous healthcare intake or scheduling experience Experience verifying insurance benefits and eligibility Experience with insurance authorizations Experience in a pediatric therapy, ABA, speech therapy, occupational therapy, or behavioral health setting Familiarity with pediatric therapy scheduling and EMR/EHR systems Benefits 401(k) Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Paid holidays Paid time off Paid sick time

Pay:

$22.00 - $27.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
