Shelter Operations Coordinator:

St. Elizabeth Women's Shelter is currently hiring a full-time Shelter Operations Coordinator to support the day-to-day functioning and overall compliance of the shelter. This role encompasses shift supervision as well as key operational responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

Coordinates with the City on licensure compliance and inspection readiness Managing inventory, shopping and runner needs, and supporting volunteer coordination and meal scheduling Assists with organizing, sorting, and redistributing donations Supports clients transitioning into housing with move-in logistics Coordinates weather-related safety needs Completes required data collection, reporting, and paperwork, including use of the HMIS system Comfortable with distributing and logging medications for clients. An ability to remain calm under high-level pressure in various scenarios A team player with a good attitude and an understanding of professionalism. Experience in a supervisory role preferred Willingness to work with all walks of life and exercise kindness, empathy and compassion.

Requirements:

Credentials/Qualifications Ability to lift 20 lbs. Spanish speaking preferred Experience working with homeless individuals and/or families preferred Willing and able to work with diverse populations Effective communication skills Computer proficient Knowledge of the unique cultural heritage of northern New Mexico Weekends as needed

Pay:

$22.00 per hour
