BARRYSTAFF

is currently seeking an Experienced Production Scheduler at a local Dayton Machine Shop to build and update schedules for a busy machine shop. Must be proficient in Excel with a working knowledge of an ERP or MRP system. Jobboss experience is a plus. Will be building, maintaining and updating the production of a machine shop to keep jobs moving through the shop on time. Will work from open sales orders, work order status and machine and labor capacity to sequence jobs to hit customer due dates. Will release work orders to the floor in priority order, will need to adjust schedules daily as priorities, due to material and machine availability changes. Will need to keep work order status, quantities, and dates current in NetSuite. Will flag and correct data errors so not to throw of the plan. Track past due and at-risk jobs. Will be expected to walk the work floor daily to insure that the schedule matches the work being done on the floor. Must be responsible for excellent communication of schedule changes and priorities to supervisors and operators. Will coordinate with purchasing and quality on material holds and inspection delays that affect the plan. Will report past due jobs, schedule risk and shipment expectations to leadership. Will follow up on outside service and late-term issues that affect the schedule. Support of month-end and week-end pushes to close out jobs and hit revenue targets. Must be able to refigure and rework a schedule that goes down when a machine goes down on short notice. Prefer a degree in Supply Chain Management or Industrial Engineering, and or at least 2 yrs related experience. Background in purchasing, planning or manufacturing engineering preferred. Pay is 52K-65K based on experience along with health benefits, and 401K.
