Project Scheduler Goyette Mechanical Company Inc. - 4.1 Hilliard, OH Job Details 1 day ago Benefits Profit sharing Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Cell phone reimbursement Parental leave Vision insurance 401(k) matching Qualifications Primavera P6 Stakeholder management Full Job Description The Project Scheduler will support project teams in developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules throughout all phases of construction. This role works closely with project managers, field leadership, subcontractors, and clients to help ensure projects remain on schedule and milestones are achieved safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and eager to develop strong scheduling and construction management skills within a fast-paced mechanical contracting environment. Assist in developing and maintaining detailed construction project schedules. Assist with projecting future labor needs by resource loading schedules. Assist with projecting project costs by cost loading schedules Coordinate with project managers, field teams, subcontractors, and clients to sequence work activities effectively. Coordinate with general contractor's scheduling team to sequence work activities within the overall schedule. Coordinate with accounting department to project costs. Support planning efforts to improve workflow efficiency and schedule performance. Help identify scheduling conflicts, delays, and critical path impacts, and assist in developing mitigation strategies. Participate in reviewing short-term lookahead schedules for accuracy and sequencing. Monitor project progress and assist with schedule updates and reporting. Assist in preparing schedule narratives, recovery plans, and time impact analyses as needed. Evaluate project schedules from a safety and constructability perspective. Maintain frequent communication with project stakeholders regarding schedule status and impacts. Continuously seek opportunities to improve scheduling knowledge, technical skills, and project performance. Uphold Goyette Mechanical's standards for professionalism, teamwork, and safety. Education & Experience Experience with Primavera P6 scheduling software required including resource loading and cost loading. Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent construction-related experience. Basic understanding of plumbing, and mechanical construction scopes. Familiarity with construction sequencing and the design/construction process. Understanding of project administration processes, including submittals, document control, and change management. Understanding of scheduling principles including logic ties, predecessors, successors, float, and critical path. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated team player with a desire for professional growth and development. Physical Requirements & Work Environment Frequent standing, walking, sitting, and computer use. Occasional climbing, kneeling, stooping, or lifting up to 50 pounds. Primarily office and construction site environments. Occasional overtime may be required based on project needs.
