Full Job Description Responsibilities:
Schedules outpatient diagnostic exams over the phone with physician offices and with patients. Responsible for indexing incoming orders and transferring faxes to other departments as necessary. Responsible for insuring supporting documentation, ICD-10 codes are received to support Medical Necessity for scheduled procedure. Management of add on or STAT procedures. Provides CPT codes to physician offices to assist with obtaining prior authorization.
Qualifications:
Education High school education or equivalent. College degree preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience One to two years in a medical office or business office. Knowledge of Medical Terminology required. Working knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes. (Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience) Compensation/Benefits $15.45-$25.24/hr depending on previous work experience.
