Job Description

We are a growing organization looking to hire a Operations Assistant! We offer an exciting and fast paced environment with rewarding results. This is an opportunity to join a great, fun, and caring team!
Responsibilities:
Thoroughly read provided information on permit tickets, determine needed actions and properly complete said tasks Effectively communicate with drivers and dispatchers in relation to needed permits/escorts Accurately complete submission of permits/route surveys/escort bookings/police escorts Provide drivers and dispatchers with accurate information based on requests Decipher the most cost-effective, legal-abiding options to book pilot cars and route surveys Communicate professionally with drivers, dispatchers, customers and pilot cars Continue an ongoing, working relationship with consistent pilot car companies Submit invoices to be paid to escorts in a timely manner Plan/schedule upcoming escort/police bookings Relay needed information to States, escorts, police, and customers to ensure a smooth process Efficiently complete high priority permits/quotes/bookings in timely fashion Audit monthly credit card statements and escrow accounts Accurately deduct permit-related costs from drivers Maintain Teams, Outlook, phone calls and text messages from coworkers drivers, escorts and customers Quick and reliable response time to urgent issues that arise Scan in all obtained permits to assigned loads Assist with anything the Senior Permit Specialist needs
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required Experience in the transportation industry is a plus Strong written and oral communication skills Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Ability to work independently Possesses drive and initiative Strong attention to detail Contribute to a positive work environment Desire to grow professionally
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work with a variety of products Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Ability to climb on and off equipment, bend, kneel, reach, stand and squat Ability to wear personal protective equipment as required Ability to work in an environment with exposure to dust, fumes, noise, and inclement weather
