We're an early-stage company built by the founders of Vroom and RumbleOn, along with people who are well known in the automotive world. We run on our own proprietary software, which streamlines how we buy, sell, and transport vehicles. You'd be one of our first hires, working directly with that team and helping shape how the business runs. The Role This job has two halves. Most of your time goes to acquisitions: calling and emailing the people selling cars, getting to know each car, and verifying each purchase before it closes. The rest goes to running our warehouse in Bethel, CT, which means keeping cars moving in and out, booking transport, getting cars to repair shops, and managing that repair work until each car is ready. Our software handles much of the paperwork and tracking, so you can spend your time on the phone, with the cars, and with the people. If you like talking to strangers about their cars as much as you like being around them, this job is for you.
What You'll Do:
Acquisitions and Seller Outreach
- Call and email sellers (private owners, dealers, and estates) about the vehicles we're buying, and build real rapport with them.
- Verify each purchase. That means confirming VIN, mileage, condition, photos, title status, liens, and ownership before we send funds.
- Use our proprietary software to manage each deal from first call to title in hand, including bills of sale, titles, and seller documents.
- Follow up on open items quickly so that deals don't stall.
What You'll Do:
Warehouse and Vehicle Operations (Bethel, CT)
- Manage day-to-day operations at our Bethel warehouse, including vehicle intake, storage, organization, and records.
- Book and coordinate vehicle transport, pickups, and deliveries with carriers, sellers, and buyers, using our software to schedule and track every move.
- Drive cars to and from repair, detail, and specialty shops.
- Manage repair work, including getting quotes, tracking progress and costs, checking the finished work, and keeping the team updated.
- Help get cars ready for sale, including photos and condition notes. Who You Are
- You genuinely love collector cars. You know your Chevelles from your Corvettes, you follow the market, and you'd talk cars all day if you could.
- You're comfortable picking up the phone and starting a conversation with someone you've never met.
- You're organized and reliable, and you follow through without being chased.
- You're hands-on and happy to drive cars, move them around the warehouse, and spend time at shops.
- You communicate clearly by phone, email, and text, and you're comfortable learning new software.
- You want the pace and ownership that come with an early-stage company. Nice to Have
- Experience at a dealership, auction house, restoration or repair shop, or in collector car sales.
- Working knowledge of titles, bills of sale, and multi-state vehicle paperwork.
- Some mechanical knowledge, enough to talk intelligently with sellers and shops.
- Experience booking or coordinating vehicle transport. Requirements
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Monday through Friday during normal business hours, based at our Bethel, CT location. You can work from home when you aren't needed at the shop.
- Occasional weekend availability to help with a delivery or pickup.
- Comfort driving a wide range of vehicles, including manual transmissions. Why Join Us
- You'd be one of Motor Guild's first hires, with real ownership and room to grow as the company grows.
- You'd learn the business directly from the founders of Vroom and RumbleOn.
- You'd work with proprietary software built to take the friction out of buying, selling, and moving cars.
- You'd spend your days around great collector cars, and the people who own them. Compensation and Benefits
- $75,000 to $90,000 base salary, plus performance incentives for hitting acquisition targets.
- We're setting up medical, dental, and other benefits now, and they'll be in place within one month of your start date. We pay 100% of the employee and family premiums on the base plan.
- A 401(k) with a company match is also being set up.
When you apply, tell us about a car you love and why.
