Full-time; some overtime, night work, and emergency response availability may be required, weekends as needed About the Role Brundage-Bone is seeking a hands-on Safety Manager, Field Operations to support safety and environmental compliance across our facilities, branches, and job sites. Reporting to the Safety Director, this position will help manage company safety programs, policies, training, and practices while working closely with employees and operational leadership. This is not a traditional office-based position. The successful candidate will spend significant time in branches, on job sites, and around operational equipment. This role requires mandatory travel and the ability to work effectively in active construction and field environments, including varying weather conditions. What You'll Do Help ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and applicable state safety regulations. Conduct job site, facility, and branch safety inspections and audits. Identify safety concerns and work with operational teams to implement appropriate corrective actions. Conduct incident and accident investigations to determine root causes. Coordinate emergency-response activities. Develop and deliver workplace safety and regulatory training. Conduct driver evaluations to reinforce safe driving practices and proper driving techniques. Conduct ACPA certification training and testing. Support the company's Return-to-Work program for employees on workers' compensation leave. Partner with customer safety representatives and conduct customer safety presentations. Help maintain the Corporate Safety Manual, Hazard Communication and SDS Manuals, Employee Handbook, and Drug and Alcohol Testing Manual. Establish and maintain standardized chemical inventories and verify that required SDS information is available at branch locations. Keep the Safety Director informed of compliance concerns and other safety-related matters. What We're Looking For 2-5 years of construction-industry safety experience. Strong knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations. Ability to understand and apply state and local safety requirements. Excellent communication and relationship-management skills. Strong writing and recordkeeping abilities. Sound judgment and critical-thinking skills. Ability to prioritize competing responsibilities in a fast-paced operational environment. Dependable, mature, and accountable work style. Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Education and Experience A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required. Education in occupational safety or experience supervising safety and training responsibilities is preferred. Work Environment and Physical Requirements This position involves work inside and outside of an office, with a strong emphasis on supporting field operations.
