Job Description

Material Expeditor - Hybrid Do not submit the same candidate to requisitions #22593 and #222596 - they are under the same manager. Position Overview The Material Expeditor is responsible for monitoring and coordinating the flow of materials and parts throughout the supply chain to ensure production schedules are met. The person will review production schedules, identify shortages or delays, communicate with suppliers, and take corrective action to keep material moving. This is a hands-on supply chain/procurement role where strong communication, SAP experience, and the ability to work under tight deadlines are important. Key Responsibilities Monitor the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and material requirements to identify current or potential shortages. Expedite materials, parts, and components to support production requirements. Communicate with suppliers regarding delivery dates, shortages, delays, and material status . Coordinate the routing and dispatching of materials and parts. Arrange repairs or replacement of damaged materials when necessary. Coordinate with internal transportation/logistics teams to move materials efficiently. Track purchase orders and completed orders to ensure schedule commitments are met. Prepare and maintain material status and progress reports . Document material changes, substitutions, shortages, schedule changes, and other supply-chain issues. Escalate critical shortages or delays to the appropriate stakeholders. Work cross-functionally with procurement, production, manufacturing, planning, engineering, logistics, and suppliers . Use SAP and Microsoft Office to track, analyze, and communicate material status. Resolve supplier and material issues quickly to prevent production interruptions. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited university. 3-5 years of Material Expediting experience. 3+ years of professional experience using SAP and Microsoft Office . Strong written and verbal communication skills. Procurement/commercial knowledge and business acumen. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Must be a U.S. Citizen . Dual citizenship with another country is not permitted for this position. Ideal Candidate Material Expeditor Material Planner Supply Chain Analyst Supply Chain Specialist Procurement Specialist Buyer/Planner Production Planner Material Coordinator Supplier Management/Expediting Specialist The best fit will have direct experience expediting materials in a manufacturing, aerospace, defense, automotive, or other production environment , particularly someone comfortable working in SAP and dealing directly with suppliers. Important Logistics Minimum 2 days onsite . Must be willing to work up to 4 days onsite when required by the program. Travel/driving to East Camden, AR and/or Lufkin, TX may be required during the assignment.
