Job Summary The Operations Coordinator provides cross-functional support to the Operations Department, assisting with planning and scheduling, supply chain, purchasing, warehouse, and other operational activities as needed. This entry-level role is a flexible resource for the team, embracing a one team, one mission approach and stepping in wherever needed to help keep operations moving and priorities on track.
Responsibilities and Duties:
General Operations Support Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to the Operations Department.
Track open items, action items, and outstanding requests and follow up as needed.
Maintain operational reports, spreadsheets, records, and documentation.
Assist with gathering and organizing information used for operational decision-making.
Help identify and communicate routine issues, delays, or discrepancies.
Support communication and coordination between Operations, Production, Engineering, Quality, and other departments.
Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned.
Perform other duties as needed to support the overall Operations Department. Planning & Scheduling Support Assist the Scheduler/Planner with maintaining production schedules and priorities.
Update schedules and status information as changes occur.
Track production progress, material availability, and potential delays.
Help identify shortages, schedule conflicts, and other issues that may impact production.
Support the planning team with routine scheduling and reporting activities.
Develop knowledge of the companys planning and scheduling processes with the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities over time. Supply Chain & Materials Support Assist with tracking material availability, requirements, shortages, deliveries, and outstanding items.
Assist with inventory-related reporting and reconciliation.
Help coordinate information between purchasing, planning, warehouse, and production.
Maintain accurate records related to materials and operational activities. Purchasing Support Provide support to purchasing as workload requires.
Assist with purchase order maintenance, confirmations, and follow-up.
Assist with maintaining supplier information and purchasing records.
Follow up with suppliers regarding routine order status and delivery information.
Perform other routine purchasing activities as assigned. Warehouse & Inventory Support Provide warehouse support as needed during periods of increased workload.
Perform finished goods inspections to verify products are properly identified, packaged, documented, and ready for shipment.
Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation.
Assist with receiving and shipping documentation.
Assist with other warehouse activities as needed.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Ability to communicate effectively with employees across multiple departments.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on assigned tasks.
Willingness to learn different aspects of operations, supply chain, planning, purchasing, and warehouse activities.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Education and Experience:
Associate degree or coursework in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, or a related field.
1-3 years of related experience in operations, supply chain, or related field.
Other Requirements:
Must be US Person, per US government contracts.
Flexibility to work occasional evenings/weekends around events.
Physical Requirements:
This position works in both an office and manufacturing/warehouse environment. The employee may be required to regularly move between office, production, and warehouse areas to perform job responsibilities. The position may require occasional lifting, standing, walking, and other physical activities associated with warehouse and finished goods inspection activities.
