Job Description

The Service Department at Weller Recreation is a newer facility filled with industry leading Service Professions. As a Parts/Service Expeditor, you will be responsible for various duties involved with gathering vehicle information, creating repair orders, looking up and pulling parts, and staging machines for the technicians. The ideal candidate for this position is passionate about the industry or the brand, has exceptional problem solving skills, and has basic technical understanding. Learn as you go!   • Staging and preparation of machines.
  • Looking up, pulling and staging needed parts.
  • Assisting technicians and services writers as needed.
  • More jobs may be assigned based on purpose of role.
  • Tasks of Staging and Preparation :
  • Identify any open service bay that may need units staged.
  • Request approval from technician to stage unit to ensure the area has not been reserved for other purposes.
  • Reference "lineup board" to identify next major unit to be worked on by technician.
  • Run Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) for recalls or bulletins making note on repair order if any are present.
  • Stage major unit on lift or in bay.
  • Stage any and all parts with unit.
  • Become proficient using parts catalog, repair orders, pulling and staging parts for technicians.
  • Work with the parts department in determining high use parts. Make sure parts are ordered in time and notify service team of lead times.
  • Work with service advisors to determine technician needs.
  • Complete online training from manufacturers to advance knowledge of the machine(s) processes.
  • Complete any task supervisors or managers need completed.
  • Work with the parts department with selling/returning parts to inventory.
  • Keep your work area clean and organized with running an inventory shelf check.
  • Step in and help service advisors as needed.
