Shipyard Coordinator

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Shipyard Coordinator for a contract opportunity in Green Bay, WI. This position is 100% onsite. The Shipyard Coordinator will play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations across our office and the shipyard. This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

(REQUIRED

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

):

• Prior experience in the trades, shipyard operations, maritime industry, or related field preferred
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Knowledge of maritime safety regulations and practices
• Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate with management and the shipyard to ensure activities remain on schedule
• Meet with welders to ensure they are fully prepared for testing
• Facilitate onboarding for employees
• Coordinate with shipyard management
• Ensure that all operations occur smoothly and effectively
• Communicate any issues with management
• Maintain accurate documentation of project status, materials, and labor hours
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies throughout the shipyard
• Recruit new candidates for shipyard positions
• Monitor status of candidates in the pipelines
• Address operational issues promptly and implement effective solutions
