A Shipping or Receiving Clerk tracks all incoming and/or outgoing shipments at a company facility and checks that shipment orders are filled correctly. Uses scanning equipment to track inventory. Works in receiving to check shipments that are primarily production materials or company supplies, or checks outgoing shipments of finished products.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Ability to read and understand packing lists, bills of ladings, and shipping and receiving instructions Ability to orders, packing orders, and making boxes, with a high degree of accuracy Strong attention to detail Familiar with appropriate methods of shipment and proper packaging requirements Operates the stretch wrap banders Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping material on hand at all times. Verifies information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, etc. Reports defective material or questionable conditions to the department supervisor Maintains a safe and clean work environment Responsible for maintaining equipment and following all safety regulations as required Must be able to lift 75 lbs, repeatedly Must be able to stand for an 8 hour shift Must be able to Read a tape measure, use a pry bar, be trained on, and operate forklift, use hammer, wrenches, and all common hand tools
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven strong work history and reliable attendance Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment Proficient in reading and interpreting a tape measure Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping and receiving Willingness and ability to work in varying environmental conditions (hot and cold)
Basic Qualifications:
