We're looking for a reliable, trustworthy, and highly accountable Business Services Associate who enjoys helping people, takes pride in their work, and wants to grow alongside our business. This position involves learning a variety of services and procedures. Previous shipping experience is not required — we are happy to train the right person. Schedule This is a part-time position primarily providing weekday afternoon and closing coverage. Approximately 20-22 hours per week Weekday afternoon and closing shifts, approximately 1:15 PM-5:45 PM Saturdays required , approximately 9:45 AM-2:15 PM Regular afternoon, closing, and Saturday availability is important for this position. Occasional opportunities for additional hours or shifts may be available based on business needs, employee coverage, vacations, or seasonal demand. Responsibilities Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and recommending services that best meet their needs. Accurately process domestic and international shipments across multiple carriers, including selecting appropriate shipping services and completing required shipment documentation. Professionally pack customer shipments to help ensure they arrive safely. Provide printing, copying, scanning, faxing, laminating, and other business services. Assist customers with passport and visa photos. Perform Live Scan fingerprinting services. Manage private mailbox services and package receiving. Support U-Haul rentals by assisting customers, performing vehicle inspections, and safely repositioning U-Haul cargo vans and trucks. Utilize multiple software and point-of-sale systems to accurately process customer transactions, including cash and card payments. Handle customer information, documents, mail, and packages with professionalism and discretion. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment. Support day-to-day store operations and assist with additional responsibilities as business needs require. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States. Friendly, professional, and committed to providing excellent customer service. Dependable and punctual, with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility. Eager to learn, open to feedback, and motivated to grow. Comfortable using computers and learning new systems and technology. Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Able to work independently, follow established procedures, and use good judgment. Must possess a valid California driver's license with a clean driving record. Must be comfortable safely driving and repositioning U-Haul cargo vans and trucks. Able to safely lift and handle packages up to 40 pounds independently , with assistance for heavier items as needed. Experience Retail or customer service experience is preferred, but not required. We are happy to train the right person.
Pay, Tips & Performance Incentives Starting Pay:
$20.00/hour, with opportunities for future pay increases based on performance, reliability, initiative, and demonstrated skills.
