Job Description

Position Summary The Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving and inspecting incoming raw materials and outside-processed parts, verifying documentation for accuracy, and determining the appropriate department or destination for received materials. This position requires strong attention to detail, computer literacy, previous machine shop experience, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Duties and Responsibilities Receive incoming raw materials, components, and outside-processing parts. Verify all information and documentation attached to incoming materials and parts. Compare received materials against packing slips, purchase orders, or other applicable documentation for accuracy. Inspect incoming materials and parts for visible damage, shortages, or discrepancies. Determine the appropriate department or location where received materials or parts should be routed. Weigh, count, and verify quantities of incoming materials and parts. Enter and record receiving information into applicable computer systems, inventory systems, or production schedules. Unload delivery trucks using appropriate material-handling equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts, as required. Properly identify, label, organize, and route received materials. Communicate discrepancies or receiving issues to the appropriate department or supervisor. Maintain an organized and safe receiving area. Follow all company safety procedures and receiving processes. Qualifications Previous machine shop experience is required. Must meet ITAR requirements. Must be computer literate and comfortable entering information into computerized systems. Strong attention to detail and ability to verify part numbers, quantities, and documentation. Ability to read and understand packing slips and receiving documentation. Previous receiving, shipping, warehouse, or inventory experience preferred. Familiarity with machine shop materials, parts, and manufacturing processes preferred. Forklift or pallet jack experience preferred. Must be dependable and able to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to safely move, handle, count, and receive materials and parts. Must wear steel-toed boots while working. Must be able to perform the physical requirements associated with receiving and material-handling duties. Schedule & Availability Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Must be available to work approximately 2 hours of overtime daily when required.
Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
