This position is responsible for managing the flow of goods in and out of the warehouse, including receiving, inspecting, loading, unloading, and preparing shipments for delivery. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is also responsible for picking up shipments from local vendors and carriers as needed, ensuring the safe and timely transportation of materials. Additional responsibilities include accurately processing orders, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring all incoming and outgoing shipments are handled efficiently and in accordance with company procedures. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, capable of safely handling materials and equipment, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Duties Process incoming shipments by verifying contents against purchase orders and packing slips. Prepare outgoing shipments by packaging products securely and labeling them appropriately. Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and manage stock efficiently. Perform order picking tasks to fulfill customer orders accurately and timely. Load and unload trucks using pallet jacks or forklift as necessary. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the shipping and receiving area. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations within the distribution center. Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure stock accuracy and report discrepancies as needed. Driver's License is required with clean records. Skills Familiarity with shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse operations. Ability to safely load, unload, inspect, and handle incoming and outgoing shipments. Experience operating pallet jacks, forklifts, or similar material handling equipment is preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to safely operate trucks up to 26 feet for local pickups and deliveries are required. Fluency in both English and Spanish (written and verbal). Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to accurately verify shipment contents against packing slips, purchase orders, and shipping documents. Basic computer knowledge and proficiency with standard office software are preferred. Experience with warehouse management or shipping software is a plus. Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Ability to lift over 50 Lbs, carry, push, and pull materials in accordance with the physical requirements of the position. Previous experience in a distribution center, warehouse, or shipping and receiving environment is preferred, but not required.
