Description:
Conval, Inc., a leading manufacturer of severe service industrial valves, is hiring a Receiver/Shipper to join our Production Control team. In this role, you'll play a key part in keeping our shipping and receiving operations accurate, efficient, and on schedule — handling everything from incoming materials to outgoing shipments across multiple carriers.
What You'll Do:
Count, weigh, and inspect incoming materials and supplies; enter receiving data into the computer system Load, unload, and receive crates, parts, and raw materials from carriers Mark and tag containers for accurate storage identification (PO numbers, sales order numbers, etc.) Inspect materials for damage and notify Supervisors/Purchasing as needed Package and ship product using current instructions from Supervisors, Sales, and Management Build skids, crates, and cardboard cartons Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, hoists, and cranes, as well as pneumatic and hand tools Maintain accurate daily shipment records and an organized, safe work area Participate in cycle counts and assist with parts receiving/issuing Use UPS shipping software to generate labels, tags, and packing lists
Requirements:
What You'll Bring:
High school diploma or GED; 1-3 months of related experience/training, or an equivalent combination Strong verbal and written communication skills Solid organizational and decision-making skills Computer literacy Familiarity with order processing systems, shipping software, and MRP systems a plus Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain) Ability to lift/move up to 25 lbs. regularly and up to 100 lbs. frequently Why Conval?
