Job Description

Overview:

This position is located in Union, IL. We are seeking an experienced Shipping/Receiving Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will participate as a key member of the staff to help facilitate and efficiently run inventory and shipping/receiving. This individual will demonstrate good decision-making abilities under pressure, be attentive to detail, be a problem solver, and have strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

Complete daily cycle counts of inventory. Study and enter shipping notices, BOL's, invoices, orders, and other records necessary to determine shipping priorities. Manage accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments. Make arrangements with carriers for pickups for domestic shipments. Follow up via phone and email with client and carriers. Prepare items for shipment and ensure lanes are properly stacked. Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives. Must have knowledge of Freight and DOT. Must know how to load shipments onto semi-trailers. CDL highly preferred but not required. Basic computer/Microsoft Excel is required. Bilingual preferred but not required. Ability to work overtime, as needed. At least one year of Shipping/Receiving experience. This position will be in Union Hill.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 7:00a-3:30p This position will require the person to complete daily inventory counts outside, and spend time inside the warehouse helping pull hardware or organize the inside shipping area. Attendance/being on time is very important.
