Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our team and contribute to the continued success of our company. As a Shipping & Receiving Clerk you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate flow of products in and out of our facility. This position requires a candidate who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The Shipping & Receiving Clerk will be responsible for handling incoming and outgoing shipments, verifying product quality and quantity, and maintaining accurate records of inventory. Key Responsibilities of the
Shipping & Receiving Specialist Shipping Operations:
Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries. Generate shipping labels and documentation. Inspect outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and quality.
Receiving Operations:
Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality. Unload, categorize, and store received products in designated areas. Update inventory systems to reflect received items. Communicate with suppliers to address discrepancies or issues with received goods.
Inventory Management:
Maintain organized and efficient storage of products. Assist in identifying and resolving discrepancies in inventory records. Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate product availability.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
Keep detailed and accurate records of all shipping and receiving activities. Generate reports on shipping and inventory metrics as required. Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and documentation requirements. Qualifications of the Shipping & Receiving Specialist High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics or supply chain management is a plus. Proven experience as a Shipping & Receiving Clerk or in a similar role. Familiarity with shipping and inventory management software. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 pounds. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
