Do you have 1 or more years of chemical or liquid shipping experience? Are you experienced in off-loading of chemical and liquids from trucks & tankers? Chemical Shipping / Tanker Unloader 1st Shift / M-F / 8am-5pm Piedmont, SC $18•$20•The Chemical Shipping / Receiving associate will work directly with the Logistics Manager to ensure that product shipped and received accurately and in a timely manner. Chemical Shipping / Receiving Associate duties include: Off-loading of chemical and liquids from trucks / tankers. Ensures that proper documentation (make sure product meets requirements) prior to unloading. Ship orders in accordance with shipping documents (complete Inspection form for each shipment) Stage orders the day prior to shipping whenever possible. Keep shipping area clean and organized. Staging area cleared daily in preparation of next day's shipments. Chemical Shipping / Receiving Associate skills & preferred experience include: 3 or more years of chemical or liquid shipping experience. Working knowledge of loading and unloading tankers Forklift Certification and valid driver's license Must comply with any dress code & PPE requirements. (Including respirators, gloves, safety shoes, safety glasses, chemical suits, etc. Uniforms will be furnished) Attention to detail. Ability to work well under pressure. Understands that honesty and ethics are essential. Positive attitude. Ability to communicate with co-workers and other departments with professionalism and respect. Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to work well alone and in a team. Follow OSHA requirements related to all assigned work. Ability to work a flexible schedule (OT as needed on nights, weekends and some holidays). Significant walking, standing reaching, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
