This position is responsible for helping perform all shipping and receiving duties, including printing and assigning shipping pick lists, scheduling carriers, etc. To perform this job successfully, the selected individual(s) must be able to satisfactorily perform each of the essential duties and job responsibilities listed below. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform daily duties of shipping including creating pick lists and bill of ladings. Contact and schedule carriers for out-bound shipments. Communicate with customer service representatives regarding any changes in customer order status. Pull and assemble orders for shipment, verifying count, weight, loading and unloading as required. Maintain a system that ensures full accountability for all material transactions in the receiving, warehouse and shipping process. Monitor and perform daily transactions to ensure accuracy and uniformity of methods. Verify incoming materials to packing list to ensure order fulfillment and/or no damage is evident. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
GENERAL SKILLS
Requires general knowledge of the
ERP - MRP
applications. Must be able to speak/read/write English. Must be timely and detail oriented to avoid errors and untimely shipments.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE 2-4
years of experience in shipping, receiving, and inventory control. 1-2 years of forklift/powered industrial truck experience. Previous experience with UPS/FedEx systems and shipping requirements.
