In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily distribution activities, manage a dedicated team, and ensure the seamless flow of materials and products throughout the facility. Your leadership will drive process improvements, optimize inventory control, and uphold safety standards to support our logistics excellence. Responsibilities Supervise daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and material handling to ensure efficient operations. Lead and motivate a team of warehouse staff, fostering a positive work environment through clear communication and effective team leadership. Oversee the operation of warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and inventory management systems to maintain accurate stock levels. Coordinate logistics for inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely delivery while adhering to safety protocols such as OSHA standards. Implement process improvements using lean management principles to enhance workflow efficiency and reduce waste. Operate or oversee the operation of forklifts and other heavy lifting equipment safely for material handling tasks. Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and audits; utilize Microsoft Office tools for reporting and documentation. Enforce safety procedures related to materials handling, heavy lifting, and equipment operation to ensure a safe working environment for all staff. Experience Proven experience in warehouse supervision or management within distribution center operations or similar environments. Strong knowledge of warehouse distribution processes, logistics, inventory control, and warehouse operations. Hands-on experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management systems, RF scanners, and Microsoft Office Suite. Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively with excellent managerial communication skills. Familiarity with materials handling equipment operation such as forklifts; certification preferred. Experience implementing process improvements using lean management techniques is highly desirable. Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to warehouse safety practices is essential.
