Salary Range :
$136K + - Commensurate (dependent on experience, education, and qualifications)
Profit-Sharing Bonus :
Semi-annual, performance-based (10% to 20% of salary)

Your Role:
The Engineering Manager is responsible for providing direction, coaching, supervision, and mentoring to a team of professional and technical staff within the Transmission and Distribution Line Engineering Department.
Department Overview:
Our experience means we have the capacity to manage and design concurrent large-scale transmission projects for one or more clients. Our engineering staff has designed hundreds of miles of overhead transmission and distribution lines for a variety of energy clients including investor-owned utilities, public utilities, municipalities, independent power producers, rural cooperatives, and industrial clients. We utilize the latest in design software tools to provide a thorough technical line design that assures the lowest cost design for you.

Material Automation; PLS Tower Modeling; PLS CADD/Pole/Tower Standardization; Lattice Tower Design & Analysis; Cost Estimating; Line Routing; Station Interfacing; Structure Design (Wood, Concrete, Steel, Lattice); Lightning Protection; Sag & Tension; Plan & Profile; Reconductoring; Line Uprating Analysis; Galloping Analysis; Long Span Applications; Guying & Anchoring; Foundation Design; Conductor Analysis; Conductor Sizing & Selection/Inspection; Construction Management; Material Selection & Procurement; System Maintenance Plans; NERC Compliance & Remediation;
Staff Augmentation What You'll Do:
Supervises a group of engineers, designers, drafters, and project support coordinators to successfully deliver Transmission & Distribution line projects Directs and oversees work of
Design Engineers:
o Conceptual routes, layouts, preliminary and detailed designs, and specifications for high voltage transmission lines and/or distribution lines o Plan and profile sheets, staking sheets, bills of materials, and stringing charts o Design criteria o Pole loading drawings, framing drawings, and construction drawings. o Terrain models o Structure loading calculations o As-built revisions Monitor and maintain staffing and utilization levels within the Transmission &Distribution Line Engineering group to help ensure the successful realization of operations and project milestones and goals Responsible for administering performance reviews and staff evaluations for direct reports Performs quality reviews of engineering work for both internal assets and sub-contractors on assigned projects Manage the development of project proposals, bid preparation, project schedules, bill of materials, etc. for assigned projects Travel to client sites/field/vendor facilities as needed.
What You Bring:
Education :
Bachelor's Degree from an ABET-accredited university. PE Required, 2 Yr Addtl. Exp Accepted in
Lieu of Experience :
