We're currently choosing a facility in either the Elm Hill Pike or MetroCenter area of Nashville. We'll confirm the exact address during the recruitment process. Help build our Nashville operation from the ground up We're opening our first dedicated US fulfillment site and looking for a hands-on manager to get it up and running. You'll shape how the site works, build a small team and take real ownership as the operation grows. This is a genuine founding role, perfect for someone who enjoys taking ownership, making decisions and seeing the results of their work. About Bonorbis and Bonacia Bonorbis Inc is part of the Bonacia group, a UK-based publishing and printing business. Through Young Writers and Young Artists, we run creative writing and art competitions for schools across the UK and US. Our aim is to help children enjoy being creative and feel proud of what they make. We give them a reason to put their ideas on the page, try something new and share their work. Selected writing and artwork are published in printed anthologies, giving children the excitement of seeing their own work in a real book. We've worked with US schools since 2017, and our US operation has grown steadily. We're now opening our first dedicated Nashville site to fulfill orders closer to the schools we serve and, over time, bring more of our work in-house. The Nashville team will make sure schools and children receive the books featuring their work. As Fulfillment Operations Manager, you'll build and lead the team that makes that happen. The role In your first few months, you'll split your time between hands-on fulfillment and setting up the operation. You'll receive, label and pack books for shipment to schools while putting the suppliers, processes and systems the site needs in place. You'll initially be the only Bonorbis employee on site. You'll help recruit your first team member, who is expected to join in January 2027, and grow the team to three colleagues by September 2027. You'll be closely involved in choosing the people who join you.
Your responsibilities will include:
Receiving, labeling and packing books, and working alongside the team during busy periods. Setting up and managing relationships with shipping providers, local suppliers and contractors. Running the facility day-to-day, including opening and closing the site, checking it is secure, managing supplies and arranging equipment or building maintenance. Putting practical site procedures in place and making sure the team knows how to handle safety, security or equipment issues. Keeping orders on track and resolving problems before they affect delivery dates for schools. Monitoring volumes, costs and performance, and keeping the UK leadership team informed. Helping recruit your team, then managing their day-to-day work, training, schedules and performance, with HR and employment support from our UK team and US employment provider. Introducing the scanning of competition entries and, later, helping bring some printing and mailing work in-house. This will remain a practical role as the team expands. We're looking for someone who enjoys working alongside their colleagues as much as leading them. What we're looking for You'll have experience in warehouse operations, fulfillment, mailing or light production, including both managing people and getting involved in hands-on work. You'll also bring: The confidence to work independently and make sound day-to-day decisions. Experience organizing work to meet firm deadlines. A practical approach to setting up or improving processes. Clear communication skills and the ability to keep a leadership team based overseas informed. Experience working with USPS and commercial shipping carriers such as UPS or FedEx. The ability to recruit, train and support a small team. Experience with digital printing, mail-inserting equipment or opening a new site would be helpful, but it isn't essential. We're most interested in someone who takes ownership, spots problems early and enjoys building an operation that works well. What's in it for you?
