CFO About the Role A large electrical distribution company is seeking a highly organized and analytical Inventory Control Manager to oversee inventory accuracy, cycle counting, adjustments security, organization and performance across multiple branch locations throughout the United States. This role plays a critical part in maintaining strong service levels, improving inventory turns, reducing deadstock, and supporting operational efficiency across the organization. The ideal candidate understands how inventory management directly impacts profitability, customer satisfaction, and operational success. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced distribution environment, can lead process improvements, and uses data-driven decision-making to strengthen inventory operations. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead inventory control operations and strategy across multiple branch locations
  • Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and process controls
  • Monitor inventory turns, stock levels, and excess/obsolete inventory performance
  • Drive initiatives to reduce deadstock and inventory shrinkage
  • Analyze inventory movement, usage trends, and transactional data to optimize inventory levels
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, root causes, and system variances
  • Partner closely with Accounting, Purchasing, Operations, Sales, and Warehouse teams to align inventory with business demand
  • Develop and track KPIs related to inventory accuracy, fill rates, adjustments, aging inventory, and service levels
  • Support ERP system utilization and reporting accuracy related to inventory transactions
  • Standardize inventory processes and best practices across all regional locations
  • Lead physical inventories, cycle count programs, and inventory audit preparation
  • Train and mentor warehouse and inventory personnel on inventory procedures and compliance standards
  • Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies, automation, and continuous improvement Qualifications
  • 5+ years of inventory control, warehouse operations, or supply chain leadership experience
  • Experience managing inventory operations across multiple branches or facilities preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Proven experience improving inventory accuracy, inventory turns, and operational performance
  • Strong ERP system experience (Prophet 21/P21 preferred)
  • Advanced Excel and reporting capabilities preferred
  • Experience within electrical supply, industrial distribution, wholesale, or related industries strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment What Success Looks Like
