Automotive Parts Manager Libertyville, IL Summary Our US top 50 privately held dealer group is looking for an experienced and motivated Automotive Parts Manager who can drive productivity through effective and valued-centered leadership. This individual should strive to return a satisfactory profit on dealer capital invested in parts inventory. They should work to accomplish objectives through the use of proper purchasing procedures, inventory control, staff utilization, security, pricing, merchandising, displaying and advertising. Essential Duties Forecasts goals and objectives for the department and strives to meet them. Hires, trains, motivates, counsels and monitors the performance of all parts department staff. Motivated to lead team advising customers with options to lead sales. Prepares and administers an annual operating budget for the parts department. Provides reporting relevant to inventory metrics. Establishes pricing parameters in each customer category that generate sufficient gross profit to produce a satisfactory profit while maintaining customer loyalty. Establishes individual parts inventory levels and balances them for maximum turnover. Monitors and adjusts inventory to minimize obsolescence. Assists in the collection of past due accounts. Directs outside parts and counter sales efforts. Guarantee all parts are properly tagged. Supervise stock order procedures. Work closely with Service Manager to ensure timely turnaround of parts needed. Develop and enforce guidelines for working with customer to ensure maximum customer satisfaction. Conducts daily perpetual inventory counts Qualifications 5 + years related Parts Management experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
