Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Perishable Manager to lead our perishable department. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of the perishable section, ensuring freshness, quality, and safety standards are met while managing a dynamic team. Your leadership will drive sales growth, optimize inventory control, and enhance customer satisfaction through excellent service and operational excellence. Responsibilities Supervise daily perishable department operations, including stocking, merchandising, and inventory management Lead and motivate team members to achieve sales goals and maintain high standards of customer service Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and quality assurance protocols Manage purchasing, pricing strategies, and inventory control to minimize waste and maximize profitability Train new employees on store policies, product knowledge, POS systems, and customer service skills Oversee shift management, cash handling procedures, and operational tasks to ensure smooth store functioning Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and performance feedback Skills Strong management skills with experience supervising retail or grocery teams in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills in both bilingual or multilingual settings preferred Proficiency with POS systems, inventory management software, and basic math for pricing and sales analysis Demonstrated ability in negotiation, purchasing, and budgeting to optimize department performance Skilled in employee orientation, training & development, and team management techniques Knowledge of retail industry sales strategies, merchandising, stock rotation, and inventory control practices Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively while managing time efficiently Experience with cashiering, cash handling procedures, and customer service excellence Join us as a Perishable Manager to lead a vibrant team dedicated to providing fresh products while driving operational success.
