Job Description

A high-volume automotive dealership is seeking an experienced, driven Automotive Parts Manager to lead its Parts Department. This role is responsible for overseeing daily department operations, maintaining strong inventory controls, supporting the Service Department, and delivering exceptional service to internal and external customers. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong dealership parts experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to build and manage a productive team.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all daily Parts Department operations, including retail, wholesale, technician, and service-counter parts sales. Manage and develop Parts Department employees, including scheduling, training, coaching, and performance management. Maintain proper inventory levels, oversee ordering, control obsolescence, and manage returns, credits, cores, and warranty parts. Work closely with the Service Department to ensure technicians and advisors receive parts accurately and efficiently. Monitor department sales, gross profit, expenses, and overall performance. Maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, vendors, wholesale customers, and internal departments. Ensure accurate pricing, invoicing, stocking, and inventory procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and professional Parts Department. Deliver a high level of customer service while resolving customer and employee concerns promptly.
Qualifications:
Previous Automotive Parts Manager or Assistant Parts Manager experience required. Strong knowledge of dealership parts operations, inventory control, purchasing, and vendor relations. Experience with dealership management systems and electronic parts catalogs preferred. Proven leadership, communication, and team-management skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume dealership environment. Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required. Schedule flexibility, including Saturdays, as needed.

Pay:
$120,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
