Confidential Position Summary The Logistics Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and optimizing all inbound and outbound logistics operations for a 24/7 plastic bag manufacturing facility. This position ensures the efficient movement of raw materials and finished goods while maintaining high levels of customer service, inventory accuracy, regulatory compliance and cost control. The Logistics Manager oversees warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, transportation management, inventory control, and logistics personnel to support production and customer delivery requirements. Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop warehouse, shipping, receiving and logistics personnel.
• Ensure appropriate staffing to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation.
• Develop staffing plans and coordinate schedules to ensure adequate coverage for a 24/7 operation.
• Manage all inbound and outbound transportation activities. Coordinate shipments with customers, suppliers, carriers and third-party logistics providers.
• Develop cost-effective transportation strategies while maintaining on-time delivery performance. Monitor carrier performance and negotiate transportation contracts and freight rates.
• Resolve shipping delays, freight claims and transportation issues.
• Ensure compliance with customer routing guides and delivery requirements.
• Direct warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, order picking and shipping.
• Maintain organized warehouse layouts that maximize space utilization and efficiency.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of raw materials, finished goods and packaging supplies.
• Monitor warehouse productivity and implement process improvements.
• Partner with Production, Purchasing and Planning to ensure material availability.
• Oversee cycle counts and physical inventories and maintain accurate inventory records through ERP systems.
• Analyze inventory levels to reduce excess inventory while preventing shortages and investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Work closely with Customer Service, Sales and Production to prioritize shipments. Ensure customer orders are shipped accurately and on time. Address customer concerns related to logistics and delivery performance.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
• Maintain DOT compliance where applicable and ensure proper documentation for domestic and international shipments.
• Promote safe forklift operation and warehouse safety practices.
• Monitor freight spending and identify cost-saving opportunities. Analyze transportation and warehousing costs to improve operational efficiency.
• Coordinate with Production to ensure timely material availability.
• Partner with Purchasing on inbound supply management.
• Work closely with Planning and Scheduling to support customer demand. Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management or a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
• Minimum 5 years of logistics, warehouse, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory or management experience.
• Experience in plastics, packaging or high-volume manufacturing preferred.
• Experience managing transportation, inventory, and warehouse operations.
• Strong leadership and team development abilities.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Work Environment This position operates in a manufacturing and warehouse environment supporting a 24-hour, 7-day operation. The Logistics Manager may be required to work flexible hours, weekends, or holidays to support business needs and customer requirements. Pay:

$85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
