Direct Support Professional (DSP)2nd Shift! Immediate Start Available Sisters Who Care Are you passionate about helping individuals with disabilities live meaningful, healthy, and independent lives? We are looking for dedicated, compassionate, and dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team! We are hiring for 2nd shift , with opportunities to start as soon as possible. Position Overview The Direct Support Professional provides personalized care and support to individuals with disabilities in a residential setting. The ideal candidate is reliable, follows directions, communicates effectively, and is committed to promoting each individual's quality of life, health, safety, and independence. Key Responsibilities Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities, including personal hygiene and lifting or transferring individuals as needed. Assist with homemaker personal care (HPC) activities throughout the shift. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized home through daily cleaning. Prepare and cook daily meals according to individual needs and preferences. Accurately document mileage for all trips taken. Complete required documentation, including service notes, behavior documentation, incident reports, communication logs, and other required records. Monitor individuals' medical needs and report concerns promptly. Provide emergency care as needed and within the scope of training. Implement behavioral interventions according to individual support plans and agency procedures. Communicate with coworkers and House Managers regarding concerns, completed tasks, and activities that need follow-up. Follow directions, service plans, and established policies and procedures. Maintain required certifications and training. Serve as a positive role model by demonstrating appropriate behavior and social skills in the home and community. Complete additional duties requested by the individual or service team that support quality of life, health, and safety. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of one year of continuous, verifiable work experience in a care or customer service role. Previous experience in patient care or supporting individuals with disabilities preferred. Current and valid Ohio driver's license. Valid personal automobile insurance. Ability to follow directions and communicate effectively with team members. Ability to provide personal care, assist with lifting and transfers, and perform household duties. Ability to complete accurate documentation and maintain confidentiality.
