Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Automotive Parts Manager to lead our parts department with enthusiasm and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the procurement, inventory management, and sales of automotive parts and accessories, ensuring seamless operations that support both our service teams and customer needs. Your expertise in supply chain management, supplier relations, and automotive diagnostics will drive efficiency, optimize sourcing strategies, and elevate the customer experience. Duties Manage the entire lifecycle of automotive parts inventory, including sourcing, procurement, pricing, demand planning, and inventory control to maximize profitability and minimize waste Develop strong relationships with suppliers through effective negotiation, supplier management experience, and continuous performance evaluation to ensure quality and timely delivery Oversee warehouse operations including shipping & receiving, logistics inventory management, forklift operation, and warehouse safety protocols to maintain an organized and efficient environment Utilize inventory management systems to accurately track parts availability, order status, and stock levels while ensuring data entry accuracy Coordinate with automotive service teams to ensure parts availability aligns with repair schedules and customer demands; support parts administration processes for order management system updates Implement procurement strategies that optimize sourcing of OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts and accessories while maintaining competitive pricing Lead internal communication efforts across departments to streamline parts ordering processes and improve overall customer service experience Monitor automotive diagnostics data to assist technicians in sourcing the right parts quickly; stay updated on vehicle systems and auto body repair trends Maintain compliance with safety standards including HVAC considerations when applicable; ensure all equipment repair activities adhere to safety protocols Experience Proven experience in automotive parts management or dealership environments with a strong understanding of automotive repair processes and vehicle systems Extensive knowledge of supply chain management principles, procurement practices, demand planning, and logistics inventory management systems such as ERP or AS400 Hands-on experience with warehouse management including shipping & receiving procedures, forklift operation certification, and equipment repair familiarity Strong negotiation skills with supplier management experience to secure favorable terms and build lasting vendor relationships Familiarity with automotive diagnostics tools and OEM specifications for accurate part sourcing Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite for reporting, data entry, and internal communication; experience with inventory management systems is essential Background in Parts administration experience including order processing, inventory control, pricing strategies, and sourcing techniques Excellent customer service skills combined with internal communication abilities to support seamless operations across departments Join us as an Automotive Parts Manager where your leadership will drive operational excellence!
