Non-Exempt SUMMARY The Materials Management Coordinator oversees all medical and logistical supply chains, including purchasing, inventory control, vendor relations, and distribution. In this role, you will provide critical backup support to both the Equipment Specialist and the Materials Management Manager. Additionally, you will lead daily workflows and ensure regulatory compliance across the logistics team, including Distribution Technicians, Warehouse Technicians, and Inventory Specialists.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following: Process purchase requisitions through Laserfiche and Operative IQ Input new employees, restock supplies, and troubleshoot issues pertaining to the COLO locker system Order and track expenditures for all HCAP and support staff uniforms Prepare and fulfill orders for internal teams through resource center requests to ensure item delivery and timely closeout of tickets. Perform station bi-weekly quality audits to verify compliance with expirations and cleanliness. Coordinate the integration of new disposable medical supplies and medication changes at all locations Proficiently and safely operates all task-related DME equipment, serving as the primary backup for the Equipment Specialist Oversees medical and logistical supply stock, vendor relations, and distribution to frontline responders Communicates effectively with Manager and, as directed, with field staff pertaining to supply delays or supply changes in conjunction with Medical Directors. Provide input to Materials Manager for staff performance evaluations As assigned, employees are required to be on-call and respond during emergency events, including, but not limited to severe weather and declared disasters. Other duties as deemed necessary.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Some college preferred. 2 years of prior experience in EMS Operations, inventory control, or warehouse supply chain management.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Basic word processing, spreadsheet, email and internet skills required. Experience in ERP/MRP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle) Operative IQ knowledge preferred
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Current Texas Driver's License. Remain insurable by the current insurance vendor of MCHD. Required NIMS Training as referenced in the Safety & Emergency Management Policy
