Role:
AWC Indeed is seeking a skilled and motivated Welder to join our team in Conroe, TX. This is a labor-intensive, hands-on position focused on welding and repairing frac-related equipment. The ideal candidate is experienced in multiple welding processes, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a physically demanding environment with heavy machinery and forklifts.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform production and repair welding on valves and frac equipment Operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment Utilize welding processes including GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, and SAW Read and interpret welding specifications, part drawings, and documentation Maintain accurate records of completed work Safely operate grinders, saws, plasma cutters, and flame-cutting tools Use lifting equipment such as overhead cranes, jib cranes, and forklifts Monitor and maintain welding supply inventory Complete required training per HR, Safety, and Quality standards Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate protective equipment Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
5+ years of welding experience Strong knowledge of welding operations; SAW experience preferred High school diploma or equivalent required Welding school certificates or related associate degree valued Military service appreciated but not required Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes Basic computer skills for documentation and equipment interface Comfortable working outdoors in a physically demanding environment Available to work overtime and weekends as needed
