Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Carrier Manager to support third-party carrier operations across the Permian Basin. This role is ideal for a logistics professional with strong trucking operations experience, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to build dependable carrier relationships in a fast-paced field environment. As the Carrier Manager, you will coordinate third-party capacity, support carrier onboarding and compliance, monitor service performance, and partner closely with district, logistics, safety, maintenance, and operations teams to ensure reliable execution and consistent service delivery. 6+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, carrier management, trucking operations, or a related field. 5+ years of management experience within the trucking industry. Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered. Valid driver's license required. Working knowledge of DOT safety regulations, including driver logs and hours-of-service requirements. Strong understanding of trucking operations, logistics, field operations, and wellsite service environments. Ability to manage priorities, follow established processes, and meet operational goals in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to lead, coordinate, or direct the work of others. Ability to independently manage a major function, business process, or operational responsibility. Preferred Experience Truck dispatching experience. DOT compliance and safety program support experience. Trucking operations management experience. Driver management, supervision, hiring, onboarding, and orientation experience. Third-party carrier onboarding, vendor management, and carrier relationship management experience. Carrier KPI tracking, performance management, and continuous improvement experience. Experience using carrier management, safety, telematics, or compliance platforms such as ISNet or Samsara. Coordinate third-party carrier scheduling and dispatch based on customer demand, planned trucking needs, and regional service requirements. Build and maintain productive carrier relationships to support safe, reliable, and consistent service execution. Support carrier onboarding, including setup agreements, documentation, contract tracking, system updates, and carrier rating management. Use ISNet, Samsara, and other approved systems to monitor carrier activity, compliance status, equipment usage, and performance trends. Partner with district, logistics, operations, maintenance, and safety teams to support standardized carrier processes and field execution. Track carrier KPIs, identify performance opportunities, and communicate results to district and logistics leadership. Help verify carrier personnel meet PPE, certification, and site-specific safety requirements before equipment is issued. Support Job Safety Analyses, Project Safety Plans, orientations, service meetings, and onsite carrier training. Serve as a key communication point between facility teams, carriers, and operations leadership regarding service expectations, rates, billing procedures, and operational updates. Apply practical trucking, logistics, field, and wellsite operations knowledge to solve problems and support Permian Basin business objectives.
