  • Connecting with communities to provide prevention resources Position Summary The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of EAC's statewide Positive Miles transportation program from our Little Rock office.
This position coordinates transportation requests, schedules drivers, monitors daily transportation activities, and ensures clients receive safe, timely, confidential, and professional transportation to eligible healthcare and supportive service appointments. The Transportation Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for transportation referrals and works closely with clients, healthcare providers, medical case managers, community partners, the Arkansas Department of Health, and EAC staff to ensure transportation services are delivered efficiently across Arkansas. This position also provides supervision and support to Field Service Specialists and volunteer drivers while ensuring compliance with program requirements, grant objectives, and agency policies. Essential Functions Coordinate statewide transportation requests through the Positive Miles program. Schedule and assign transportation trips to Field Service Specialists and volunteer drivers. Maintain daily transportation schedules and monitor driver progress throughout the day. Communicate with clients regarding transportation appointments and scheduling updates. Collaborate with healthcare providers, medical case managers, community organizations, and referral partners. Ensure transportation waivers and required documentation are completed accurately. Supervise and support Field Service Specialists and volunteer drivers. Maintain driver records, insurance documentation, continuing education requirements, and compliance files. Coordinate vehicle maintenance, inspections, and readiness with the Operations Director. Review transportation activity logs, mileage reports, and vehicle documentation. Prepare monthly transportation reports and program data for leadership and funders. Assist with grant implementation and ensure compliance with program goals and agency policies. Participate in community outreach events and represent EAC in a professional manner. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience in transportation coordination, dispatching, scheduling, logistics, healthcare coordination, or customer service preferred. Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is a plus. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic database systems. Cultural competency and the ability to work respectfully with diverse populations, including people living with HIV. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. Requirements Must satisfactorily pass a background check (paid for by employer). Must possess a valid Arkansas driver's license, reliable transportation, and maintain automobile liability insurance. No more than two moving violations or one at-fault accident within the past three years. Ability to travel occasionally throughout Arkansas as needed. Complete Arkansas Department of Health HIPAA training within 30 days of hire. Complete all required annual EAC continuing education requirements.
