Job Description

Professional Search Group- OC is seeking a Transportation Coordinator to join their client's team. The Transportation Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating outbound freight movement and ensure products are delivered accurately and on schedule. This role will work closely with internal departments, customers, carriers, and final-mile delivery agents to manage shipments from order status through final delivery. The ideal Transportation Coordinator candidate is organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable troubleshooting shipping issues while identifying opportunities to reduce transportation costs. Professional Search Group- OC has partnered with a high-end manufacturing of outdoor furniture & has focused on luxury furniture for over 45-years. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Organize regular outbound shipments and identify cost-effective shipping methods. Identify opportunities to reduce transportation and freight costs. Coordinate shipment deliveries and monitor delivery schedules. Troubleshoot and resolve shipping and delivery issues, including damaged products, incorrect deliveries, short shipments, and other discrepancies. Review and approve freight bills for accuracy. Assist Account Coordinators and Sales Specialists with lead-time questions and outbound shipping schedules. Maintain accurate spreadsheets, logs, and tracking reports for outbound orders. Manage the flow of information between company and final-mile delivery agents, including product receipt, delivery schedules, and proof of delivery. Communicate effectively with internal departments to provide timely shipment and delivery information. Analyze transportation information and communicate findings or updates to management. Perform additional transportation and logistics duties as assigned. Qualifications Experience in transportation, logistics, freight coordination, shipping, or a related field preferred. Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve shipping and delivery issues. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook . Ability to quickly learn and work with accounting or transportation-related software. Ability to manage multiple shipments, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
