Renaissance Care Center is a 5-star skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Canton, IL, looking for a Part-Time Medical Scheduler & Transportation Coordinator to join our team. If you're organized, enjoy talking with people, and like keeping schedules running smoothly, this could be a great fit! In this role, you'll coordinate medical appointments and arrange transportation services for our residents while working closely with physician offices, transportation providers, residents, families, and our care team. Schedule Part-time Monday-Friday Approximately 4 hours per day working on-site in our Canton facility We can be flexible with your daily schedule; however, you'll need to work a consistent 4-hour shift each weekday during our normal business hours. Key Responsibilities Schedule transportation and medical appointments for adult and pediatric patients. Coordinate appointments by communicating with physicians' offices, clinics, specialists, and other healthcare providers. Spend a significant portion of the workday on the phone arranging appointments and confirming schedules. Notify patients, families, and the care team of appointment dates, times, and transportation details. Accurately document scheduling appointments, communications, and updates in the electronic medical record (EMR). Resolve scheduling conflicts by thinking creatively and finding solutions that best meet the needs of each patient. Maintain accurate and organized records while ensuring confidentiality, professionalism, and attention to detail. What We're Looking For Strong communication and customer service skills. Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented. Comfortable using computers and entering data accurately. Able to multitask and work independently. Previous receptionist, scheduling, administrative, customer service, or healthcare office experience is preferred. Medical terminology or healthcare experience is a plus but not required. $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
