Grace Village Retirement Community | Winona Lake, IN Full-Time | $16 - $18.00 per hour Grace Village Retirement Community is seeking a full-time Transportation Coordinator to schedule, coordinate, and provide transportation for residents in our Assisted Living and Health Care communities. This position plays a vital role in ensuring residents arrive safely and on time to medical appointments while maintaining excellent communication with residents, families, and nursing staff. Grace Village is a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) dedicated to helping older adults live to their fullest potential within the security and support of a Christian community. Position Summary The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for arranging resident appointments, coordinating transportation schedules, maintaining transportation records, and safely transporting residents to medical appointments and other approved destinations. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, compassionate, and committed to providing outstanding service to our residents. Essential Responsibilities Schedule resident medical appointments as requested by nursing staff. Coordinate appointment information with residents, families, nursing staff, and unit clerks. Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments and other approved destinations. Remain with residents during appointments when necessary. Complete and submit monthly transportation logs by the 25th of each month. Maintain cleanliness and organization of community vehicles. Report vehicle maintenance concerns promptly. Deliver laboratory specimens to the hospital as needed. Maintain transportation and equipment storage areas. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Must possess or be able to obtain a Public Passenger License prior to employment. Excellent driving record. Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate resident needs. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple responsibilities. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Compassionate, resident-focused approach to customer service.
