In this role, you will manage driver schedules, optimize routes using GPS and GIS technologies, ensure compliance with DOT regulations, and facilitate seamless communication between drivers, clients, and internal teams. Your proactive approach will help maintain efficient freight movement, uphold safety standards, and enhance customer satisfaction. This self starting position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced operation while utilizing cutting-edge transportation management systems and vehicle dispatch software. Duties Coordinate daily driver assignments, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries while optimizing routes with routing software tools Monitor real-time vehicle locations using transportation management systems such as Package AI software Communicate effectively with drivers via multi-line phone systems and internal communication channels to relay instructions and updates Manage phone call traffic related to route scheduling, customer inquiries, and emergency situations with professionalism and courtesy Maintain accurate data entry of delivery details, delivery statuses, and driver movement Ensure compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations by conducting regular audits and documentation checks Collaborate with teams to streamline shipping & receiving processes, freight planning, and logistics operations Analyze transportation data to identify inefficiencies or delays, implementing solutions to improve overall road transportation operations Requirements Proven experience in dispatching or driver management within a logistics or transportation environment Strong knowledge of transportation planning, truck loading, furniture protection, and road transportation operations Proficiency with transportation management systems like Package AI Familiarity GPS technology, and route optimization tools for efficient freight movement Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask across multiple communication channels including multi-line phones and internal messaging platforms Exceptional communication skills coupled with phone etiquette for effective customer service and internal coordination Ability to analyze operational data using analysis skills to improve dispatching efficiency Knowledge of DOT regulations and shipping & receiving procedures for compliance purposes Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including typing speed for data entry tasks Strong organizational skills to manage schedules, documentation, and internal communication seamlessly Join us in delivering excellence in transportation logistics!
