Logistics Manager
Job Description
A growing company is looking for an experienced Logistics Manager to join its team in New York City. The primary responsibilities include but not limited to the following: Oversee warehouse, packing and shipping personnel. Implement policy changes for shipping and warehouse services. Manage small package, LTL & TL shipments. Schedule pre-routing delivery for truck routes. Manage an in-house fleet and an outsourced dedicated fleet, including CDL driver, non CDL driver, trucks, tractors and trailers. Manage plant to plant transfers and transportation between multiple manufacturing locations. Prepare annual department budget. Prepare and analyze department KPIs monthly. Develop and implement department SOPs. Implement safety program. Ensure all the administrative and reporting requirements are in compliance with regulations and meet in a timely manner. Monitor and manage company vehicle insurance, registrations and inspections as required by regulations. Qualifications Minimum of ten years' experience in warehouse & shipping management Experienced in working in a large corporation, warehouse & manufacturing company ($100MM+) Bachelor degree required Extend knowledge of
DOT & FMCSA
regulation. Supervision experience in managing 30+ employees directly Experienced in working with 3rd party logistic companies and brokers Strong managerial and multitasking skills Superior communication, interpersonal and customer service skills required Proficient in Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint Able to lift 50+lbs object Bilingual in English and Mandarin/Spanish preferred.
