General Job Summary:

Responsible to release approved parts for shipment to Outside Service Vendors. Must accurately complete paperwork and follow special instructions indicated on Traveler.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Follows all safety processes and procedures in accordance with job requirements and company policy. Communicates with McAlpin drivers on daily routes while maintaining record of shipping information Verifies and accurately counts parts staged in the area for shipment. Properly packs or secures parts as indicated on Traveler. Corresponds with Purchasing for Purchase Order and authorization to ship. Maintains up-to-date Shipping Log for tracking parts. Loads and unloads trucks. Proficient in Microsoft applications. Background using ERP systems and shipping software. Inspects incoming freight for damage. Must be capable of driving a forklift truck. Other duties, as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None Education/Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED) 1-2 years related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other Requirements:

Ability to operate forklift.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, having basic knowledge of the computer is preferred.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other Associates of the organization.
