•Tower Communications Expert (TCE) Tower Communications Expert (TCE) is a nationwide infrastructure services company supporting wireless telecom, tower construction, civil operations, microwave transmission, emergency response, and EV charging projects across the U.S. Our success is built in the field. Civil Crew Leaders play a critical role in execution, safety, quality, and crew performance — setting the standard onsite and ensuring civil work is completed safely and correctly the first time. The Role The Civil Crew Leader is a hands-on field leader responsible for directing the day-to-day activities of an assigned civil crew while actively participating in the work. This role oversees civil construction activities including excavation, trenching, concrete, foundations, grounding, conduit installation, site preparation, and restoration. Civil Crew Leaders are expected to lead by example, maintain a safe and productive jobsite, support their crew, and communicate clearly with Construction Managers and Project Management. What You'll Do Civil Field Leadership & Execution Lead daily civil jobsite activities and assign tasks to crew members Work hands-on alongside the crew performing excavation, trenching, concrete, foundations, grounding, conduit installation, site preparation, and restoration Ensure civil work is completed according to construction drawings, scopes of work, specifications, and project schedules Coordinate the proper use of equipment, tools, and materials Monitor productivity and help keep projects on schedule Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for the civil crew Safety, Quality & Compliance Enforce TCE safety standards, OSHA requirements, and jobsite protocols Lead daily tailgate meetings and ensure JHAs are completed Ensure proper use of PPE and safe operation of civil equipment Maintain safe excavation and trenching practices Identify and address hazards, unsafe conditions, or quality issues immediately Verify completed work meets TCE and customer quality standards Crew Support & Development Train and mentor civil crew members on proper construction methods, equipment use, and safety practices Promote teamwork, accountability, productivity, and professionalism Provide feedback to supervisors regarding crew performance, training needs, and jobsite concerns Help maintain a positive and respectful jobsite culture Communication & Coordination Communicate daily job progress, delays, issues, and material or equipment needs to supervisors Coordinate with Construction Managers, other crews, subcontractors, vendors, and site contacts Support scheduling and coordination of equipment and material deliveries Complete required jobsite documentation, photos, daily reports, and closeout information Escalate field issues that may affect safety, quality, schedule, or project completion Here's a version adjusted specifically for a
Civil Crew Lead :
What You Need to Be a Fit 5+ years of civil construction, telecom, or infrastructure experience Prior experience leading or mentoring civil field crews Hands-on experience with excavation, trenching, concrete, foundations, grounding, conduit, and site restoration Strong understanding of jobsite safety, OSHA requirements, and civil construction practices Ability to read and understand construction drawings, site plans, and scopes of work Ability to coordinate daily crew activities, materials, equipment, and jobsite needs Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Willingness to travel and work outdoors in varying weather conditions Valid driver's license Ideal Background Telecom civil construction, wireless infrastructure, utilities, or similar field construction Experience as a Civil Crew Lead, Foreman, or senior civil technician Experience operating or working around excavators, skid steers, trenchers, and other civil equipment Strong knowledge of excavation, concrete work, foundations, grounding, conduit installation, and restoration Respected field presence with a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity Comfortable working hands-on while leading and directing a crew Pay & Benefits Market pay range: $30
•38 per hour , based on experience and leadership scope Overtime and travel pay as applicable
