• Tulsa Metro Area, OK KMP Quality Fence is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Fence Crew Lead / Subcontractor to partner with our growing company.

We are looking for an experienced fence professional who can take a project from start to finish, lead a crew, solve problems in the field, and consistently deliver high-quality workmanship. This is an independent subcontractor opportunity, not a W-2 employee position. Competitive Subcontractor Pay We offer competitive production-based pay based on the type and scope of fence being installed. Experienced crews who consistently produce high-quality work, communicate well, and complete projects efficiently will have the opportunity for steady work and strong earning potential . Compensation is based on completed work rather than an hourly wage. What We Are Looking For The ideal subcontractor is someone who can receive a job scope and professionally manage the installation with minimal oversight.

You should be comfortable:

Leading your own fence installation crew Reviewing drawings, measurements, and project specifications Laying out fence lines, corners, gates, and post locations Managing slopes, elevations, transitions, and difficult layouts Identifying potential installation problems before work begins Making sound field decisions when unexpected conditions arise Keeping projects moving efficiently Maintaining excellent workmanship Communicating questions or jobsite concerns with our operations team Reviewing completed work before leaving the project Fence Installation Experience Qualified candidates should have strong professional experience installing multiple fence types, including: Wood privacy fence Cedar cap and trim fence Chain link fence Ornamental steel and aluminum fence Vinyl fence Agricultural and rail fencing Walk gates Double gates Residential and commercial gate systems Experience with commercial fencing, welding, automated gates, gate operators, access control, or larger gate systems is a major plus. Crew Lead Responsibilities As the lead subcontractor on a project, you will be expected to: Understand the complete project scope before beginning work Verify fence layout and measurements Lead and manage your installation crew Maintain professional workmanship standards Properly install posts, rails, pickets, panels, fabric, gates, and hardware Ensure fence lines are straight, posts are properly aligned, and finished elevations are correct Confirm gates operate correctly Monitor materials throughout the installation Notify KMP Quality Fence promptly of material shortages, scope questions, or unexpected jobsite conditions Maintain an organized and professional jobsite Correct workmanship issues before the project is considered complete Complete projects within agreed-upon schedules Subcontractor Requirements Qualified subcontractors should have: Significant professional fence installation experience Crew lead, foreman, or equivalent leadership experience Ability to independently manage fence installation projects Strong understanding of fence construction and installation standards Ability to read job drawings, measurements, and specifications Strong understanding of layout, grade, elevations, and alignment Strong problem-solving skills Reliable transportation The tools and equipment necessary to professionally perform fence installation work Ability to lead and manage their own installation crew Professional communication and customer-service skills Ability to reliably meet agreed project schedules Subcontractors are responsible for managing their own crew, taxes, business expenses, and other obligations associated with operating as an independent contractor. Materials and Projects KMP Quality Fence provides the materials required for the contracted fence project. Subcontractors provide the labor, crew, tools, and equipment necessary to complete the installation according to the project specifications. Our projects include both residential and commercial fencing throughout the Tulsa metro and surrounding areas.
