Landscape Crew Leader / Foreman

•Woodrum Landscape & Design (Chattanooga, TN) Woodrum Landscape & Design is hiring an experienced Landscape Crew Leader / Foreman to operate as the owner's right-hand man. This role requires strong leadership, plant knowledge, craftsmanship, and the ability to execute landscape and hardscape designs exactly as drawn — including plant material placement, bed prep, irrigation, and stonework. •Responsibilities Lead daily crew operations — Morning setup, task assignments, clock‑ins, and on‑time departures Plant material installation — Correct placement based on plans, spacing, depth, soil prep, and layout accuracy Plant identification — Know common shrubs, trees, perennials, grasses, and seasonal color Bed prep + weed removal — Spray, weed, clean, edge, amend soil, and prep beds before planting Irrigation troubleshooting — Fix heads, adjust zones, repair leaks, and ensure proper coverage Perform high-quality stonework — Pavers, edging, retaining walls, steps, and custom hardscapes Read and follow landscape plans — Grades, elevations, plant placement, and material specs Operate machinery — Skid steer, mini‑excavator, trencher, etc. Maintain jobsite efficiency — Material management, workflow, and time control Communicate directly with ownership — Daily updates, problem-solving, and design accuracy Uphold crew standards — Breaks, safety, professionalism, and productivity

•Requirements Strong landscape + hardscape experience Ability to identify plants and install them correctly Ability to read plans and follow detailed instructions Leadership and accountability Skilled equipment operator Basic irrigation knowledge Reliable transportation; driver's license preferred
