Full-Time About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Shift Supervisor to join a growing manufacturing operation in Bay Minette, AL . This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for supporting daily plant operations while ensuring production goals, quality standards, safety requirements, and customer specifications are consistently met. The Shift Supervisor will work closely with plant leadership to lead and develop production employees, coordinate workflow, troubleshoot production issues, monitor performance, and maintain a safe and productive work environment . The ideal candidate will bring previous manufacturing leadership experience , with 3-6 years of experience within the corrugated industry preferred . This position is well suited for a hands-on leader who enjoys working directly with production teams and driving improvements in safety, quality, efficiency, and employee performance. Responsibilities Assist with organizing, training, and directing production employees to achieve strong levels of safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity . Coordinate daily production, distribution, and warehousing activities in accordance with established procedures and company policies. Assist in developing and implementing plans for the efficient use of materials, machinery, equipment, and employees . Troubleshoot production challenges, determine appropriate work procedures, and help maintain efficient workflow. Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards . Initiate and support corrective actions involving quality, safety, production, and employee performance issues . Monitor manufacturing processes and recommend improvements when opportunities are identified. Coordinate plant safety and training activities in partnership with other departments. Track and monitor employee performance, productivity, attendance, and quality metrics . Ensure production teams consistently meet customer specifications and quality requirements . Assist with employee scheduling, timekeeping, and payroll-related responsibilities . Help address employee concerns, conflicts, and other workplace challenges. Maintain appropriate inventory levels of materials and parts required to support production. Ensure operating teams work together effectively to achieve established production targets and departmental goals . Communicate production issues, staffing concerns, safety matters, and operational updates to plant leadership. Qualifications 3-6 years of experience within the corrugated industry preferred. Previous supervisory, lead, or leadership experience within a manufacturing or production environment strongly preferred. College degree or equivalent education preferred; or 3-6 years of related experience and/or training ; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, production processes, quality control, safety, and productivity standards . Excellent employee relations, leadership, and communication skills . Ability to effectively train, coach, motivate, and provide direction to production employees. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret written instructions and production-related documentation. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, managers, customers, and other stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify problems, collect and analyze information, establish facts, and determine appropriate solutions . Ability to properly use and understand measuring tools and basic production equipment . Basic computer skills and experience working with production, scheduling, timekeeping, or related systems. Experience within corrugated converting, packaging, paper, printing, or similar manufacturing environments is highly valued. Physical & Work Environment Requirements Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as required. Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods . Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment around dust, noise, machinery, and production equipment . Ability to properly wear and utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE) . Comfortable using basic tools and equipment, including tape measures, hand tools, measuring devices, computers, and calculators . The final base pay offered to the successful candidate will be determined by factors such as work location, job-related skills, qualifications, experience, responsibilities, and relevant education and training.
