Position Summary The Warehouse Operations Coordinator is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, inventory management, shipping and receiving, and localized work-order coordination to ensure accurate, timely fulfillment and site efficiency. Key Responsibilities Warehouse Operations & Material Handling Organize, stage, and store materials in designated site locations. Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly warehouse environment. Ensure all materials are properly identified, tagged, and readily accessible. Support safe loading, unloading, and material-handling practices. Safely operate forklifts and other authorized material-handling equipment. Inventory Control Pull and stage inventory for customer and production orders. Maintain accurate inventory site and storage-location data in the system. Conduct regular cycle counts and assist in resolving inventory discrepancies. Receive and accurately stock incoming inventory. Review and adjust item classifications and reorder points based on usage and stocking requirements. Maintain complete and accurate inventory transactions and supporting documentation. Shipping & Receiving Load and unload incoming and outgoing freight and delivery orders. Process purchase orders, distribution orders, cores, and incoming inventory receipts for the site. Generate shipping documents, packing lists, shipping labels, and related paperwork. Create and process distribution orders from initiation through completion. Confirm shipments and maintain proof-of-delivery documentation. Pick up and deliver local orders as needed. Work-Order & Production Support Coordinate hose and fitting assemblies and related site projects. Maintain and coordinate the work-order schedule. Create, process, update, and close site work orders. Monitor work-order status to proactively identify material or scheduling bottlenecks. Coordinate site priorities across applicable departments and support hands-on production activities as needed.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Must have High School Diploma or equivalent. Must have minimum of ten (10) years of experience in manufacturing and operations. Performs work under minimal supervision. Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to operations employees. Ability to work as part of a team. Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers. Proven ability to meet deadlines and follow directions. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job duties consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. Frequent walking and/or standing is required. Frequent bending, pushing/pulling, lifting/carrying and manual manipulation of longwall shield cylinder components. Ability to work safely and adhere to the Swanson Safety System in daily job duties.
