SAP EWM Functional Lead (SAP S/4HANA Warehouse Management)#26-29577 $16.50-$78.57 per hour Foster City, CA Hybrid Job Description Our Client, an IT Services and Consultant company, is looking for a SAP EWM Functional Lead (SAP S/4HANA Warehouse Management) for their Foster City, CA/Hybrid location.
Responsibilities:
Configure, enhance, and support SAP EWM processes including inbound logistics, outbound logistics, inventory management, putaway strategies, picking strategies, wave management, labor management, and yard management. Partner with supply chain, manufacturing, and logistics teams to translate warehouse operational requirements into scalable SAP EWM solutions. Support integration between SAP EWM and related SAP modules, including Materials Management (MM), Sales & Distribution (SD), and Production Planning (PP). Lead and support SAP EWM project activities including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, cutover, deployment, and post-go-live support. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while collaborating with IT teams, warehouse operations, and external vendors. Evaluate and support integration of warehouse automation technologies, including conveyors, RF devices, automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS), and material flow systems. Develop functional specifications, process documentation, training materials, and standard operating procedures. Analyze warehouse processes and identify opportunities for operational improvements, automation, and efficiency gains. Ensure SAP EWM solutions support compliance, quality, safety, and inventory control requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive continuous improvement initiatives and maximize system adoption.
Requirements:
Hands-on SAP EWM configuration expertise. Warehouse operations and automation integration experience. Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills.

Required Qualifications:
15+ years of hands-on SAP EWM implementation and configuration experience. Proven expertise with SAP EWM in decentralized and/or embedded deployment models. Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, inventory management, slotting, replenishment, and resource management. Experience integrating SAP EWM with MM, SD, and PP modules. Demonstrated experience supporting end-to-end SAP implementation lifecycles, including testing, cutover, deployment, and hypercare. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across business, operations, engineering, and technical teams. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with robotics-enabled or highly automated warehouse environments. Material Flow System (MFS) integration experience. Experience supporting manufacturing, automotive, or complex supply chain environments.
SAP S/4HANA
implementation experience. SAP EWM Certification. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
