Our client, an industry leader in autonomous mobility, is seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician to join their team. As an Electrical Engineering Technician, you will be part of the Sensor Engineering department supporting the Advanced Hardware Engineering team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, proactive problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

$45/hour + Benefits What's the Job? Design and build wiring harnesses for Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test benches and rack builds, translating schematics into pinout diagrams and selecting appropriate connectors and wire gauges. Rack, stack, and wire test assets including compute nodes, network switches, and power units, following detailed layout diagrams and organizing cables for optimal signal integrity and accessibility. Own day-to-day lab operations by managing inventory, staging parts, maintaining organization, and ensuring safety protocols such as ESD and electrical safety are followed. Troubleshoot hardware faults, diagnose issues with cables, power supplies, and connections, and collaborate with test engineers to reproduce and escalate complex failures. Maintain accurate build documentation, including pinout tables, BOMs, wiring diagrams, rack elevations, and revision histories to support ongoing development and troubleshooting efforts. What's Needed? At least 3 years of hands-on experience in a lab, bench technician, or data center hardware role, with an associate's degree or vocational/technical certification in electronics or electromechanical technology (equivalent experience considered). Proven experience designing and building wiring harnesses, reading wiring diagrams, and crimping automotive-grade connectors such as Molex, Amphenol, or Rosenberger. Experience racking and cabling servers and network equipment, including structured cabling, cable management, and power distribution, working independently from detailed rack diagrams. Strong skills with hand tools, torque tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies, along with knowledge of AC/DC electrical safety and ESD handling. Ability to lift and move rack equipment weighing up to 50 lbs and maintain organized workspaces with minimal supervision. What's in it for me?
