8a-4p Sun-Tues + Fri ~30-35 hours per week

We empower talented chefs to grow sustainable food businesses while giving families access to high-quality, home-cooked meals. We've raised nearly $90M from investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Y Combinator, Craft Ventures, and M13, along with founders and executives from Instacart, Airbnb, Lyft, and more. The Role The Distribution Hub Lead is the operational owner of a high-volume, high-complexity market. You own everything inside the four walls of your hub: People, Performance, Standards, and Outcomes. You are accountable for labor efficiency, quality metrics, team performance, and hiring. This is a highly autonomous role for someone who wants to grow into a salaried operations leader as the company scales. Growth is available, but earned through consistent performance, analytical rigor, and strong leadership.

What You Own:

4-Wall Operational Ownership Full accountability for daily execution and performance Ensure orders are sorted accurately and dispatched on time Maintain strict food safety and quality standards Serve as primary on-site point of contact for chefs and delivery partners Hiring & Team Leadership Own recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding Build and maintain a high-performing hourly team Conduct performance management and coaching Manage scheduling and long-term labor planning Performance & Analytics Review daily and weekly metrics (labor efficiency, error rates, on-time departures) Identify trends and root causes Implement corrective actions and preventative measures Partner with Regional leadership on pilots or process improvements Memorialize and document improvements where appropriate Inventory & Resource Management Own overall inventory health, accuracy, and supply planning Prevent stockouts and maintain organized storage Manage hub-level supply costs responsibly Communication & Escalation Proactively communicate risks, trends, and performance insights Escalate systemic issues early Represent the hub effectively to internal and external stakeholders What Success Looks Like The hub consistently meets or exceeds performance targets Labor is managed efficiently and predictably Hiring pipelines remain healthy Performance issues are addressed early Leadership requires minimal oversight The hub scales smoothly as volume grows Who You Are Experienced leading teams in warehouse, logistics, retail, or hospitality environments Comfortable with accountability and autonomy Analytical and metrics-driven Strong communicator who escalates strategically, not reactively Comfortable using Slack, Google Sheets, dashboards, and operational tools Motivated to grow into broader operational leadership over time
